The Cast

CARON DAVIS
I'm a Florida native that has been involved with theatrical productions since high school. I have always been a lover of all things entertainment and make it my hobby sharing my talents with the theatrical community in the Greater Tampa Bay area. My most recent credits include Deloris in Sister Act (SPCT), The Mayor in SpongeBob the Musical, (CCC), Denna in Dreamgirls (NTP), and many cabaret shows with (WCTG). I am very excited to be joining this group of talented performers and want to thank you all for supporting the arts.

GERALD DAVIS
I’m originally from Tampa, Florida. I’ve been performing since I sang in choir when I was around 7 years old. While attending Florida State University and Tallahassee State College, I have performed as Mush (Newsies), Minstrel (Something Rotten!), Man 1 (I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change). For me, Motown is a representation of story telling that we have kind of lost throughout the ages. Teaching us how to make each other seen through the stories we tell. Favorite Motown song? You Can’t Hurry Love by The Supremes.

NASIR FANNING
Nasir Fanning is a rising artist from Chesapeake, Virginia, whose passion for performance began at an early age. At just three years old, he led his first solo at church and later sang in various talent competitions. His musical journey started in the children’s choir at Hebron Cornerstone Church International in Norfolk, VA, where he eventually progressed to the adult choir and took on the role of choir director. After relocating to Tampa, Florida, Nasir expanded his artistic pursuits, competing in numerous acting competitions and performing in acclaimed musical productions such as The Wiz, Hairspray (as Seaweed), Anything Goes, West Side Story, and more. Recognized as a true triple threat—singer, actor, and dancer—Nasir continues to grow in his craft. He is the founder and owner of Kingdom Acting LLC, a theatre and performing arts company where he directs choirs, writes original stage plays, and nurtures emerging talent. Now, returning to his first love—music—Nasir is embracing a new chapter in his artistic journey. Inspired by Motown legends like The Temptations and Marvin Gaye, he sees this season as one of his most exciting opportunities yet.

TIFFANY FORSYTHE
Tiffany Forsythe is a Virginia native whose dance journey began at age six at Lakewood Dance & Music Center. Her formative training included the Old Donation Center for the Gifted, the Governor’s School for the Arts, Norfolk Academy under former Alvin Ailey principal dancer Elbert Watson, and In The Spotlight School of Dance. Tiffany launched her professional career performing at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. She has starred as 'Evillene' in The Wiz: Broadway Our Way and performed with Moore Dance Project (Sacred Slave Stories in NYC), Dawn Branch Works (Eden, Journey: A Walk Through Faith), and Emergence Dance Company (Dream, Awaken). Her credits also include festivals in NYC and Orlando such as iDance Orlando Festival, The Shift, Dancing for Diabetes, FusionFest, and the Orlando Fringe Festival. Tiffany continues to nurture her passion for dance through community performances while expanding her creative expression into gymnastics, aerial arts, theater, acting, and now singing. Funky Broadway: A Motown Tribute marks her vocal debut — a heartfelt step into a new artistic chapter. She is inspired by the rich legacy of Motown and its timeless music that continues to influence generations of performers.

JAI LOVE GARRIGA
I am delighted to professionally debut with Jixey Productions. My credits include RENT (Featured Ensemble) at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Miracle Worker (Martha) at Carrollwood Players, Beetlejuice Jr. (Musical Director) at Oviedo High School, and Disaster! The Musical (Shirley) at Alonso High School’s Encore! I am is currently a Senior at UCF pursuing a degree in History. I cannot wait for what the future holds post-grad!

LD GREEN
I was born in Austin Texas raised in Atlanta Georgia and currently reside in the beautiful city of Tampa. I began performing at the age of 7 in my father’s church, both the choir and praise and worship team. I have only had the privilege of being apart of a few productions and in smaller roles, but I’m hoping to change that starting with this amazing Motown show I get the honor to be apart of. The thing I love most about Motown is the feeling you get when you hear it. You feel it in your soul and it’s even more penetrating when you are singing these beautiful songs. With so many amazing voices and groups attributed to Motown it’s hard to pick just one - but the Jackson 5 have always been my favorite from that era!

MARK HARRIOTT
I am ecstatic to be apart of Funky Broadway! I grew up singing Motown songs, so this show feels like a full circle moment. I am an entertainer from Oviedo, FL who has been in multiple local productions. In my spare time I also enjoy basketball, cooking, and boxing.

KIARA MONREAL
I’m Kiara Dorothea, though I was born Kiara Monreal. I go by Kiara Dorothea to honor my Nanny and Opa—whose love, support, and encouragement are the reason I’m still performing today. I’m originally from Wisconsin but grew up in Dunedin, Florida. I started singing ten years ago and began vocal training around the same time. Since then, I’ve become a classically trained singer, a trained actress and dancer, a pageant queen, and—believe it or not—a marine biologist! I obtained my degrees from Eckerd College in May of 2024. I received a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Animal Studies. After I completed my studies I became a full time performer and started my Education and Artistic Apprenticeship at American Stage. You may have seen me in Ghost Stories from Yellowstone at OffCentral Theater, or more recently in Familia de Flamingos at American Stage Theater. To me, Motown wasn’t just a sound—it was a movement. It brought diversity and soul to the music industry, and it opened the door for so many voices and styles we hear today. I feel incredibly privileged to help keep that spirit alive by performing these powerful songs and sharing their legacy with new audiences.

AMBER WILLIAMS
My name is Amber, and I am originally from Memphis, TN. I've been involved in the entertainment industry since I was 12 years old, and it has been an incredible journey thus far. Most recently, I had the honor of choreographing for junior production plays of Matilda, The Little Mermaid, and The Addams Family. Each project has been a rewarding experience that allowed me to grow both creatively and professionally. I'm now excited to take the next step by joining the Funky Broadway cast alongside some truly talented individuals. Plus who can resist the intricate sound of Motown?!
